Therapeutic Group Program
The Therapeutic Group Program is a year round program designed for children who would benefit from participation in a smaller group environment. This program will offer a structured atmosphere, where your child will enjoy a small group environment. Focus will be placed on basic developmental and prerequisite skills such as engagement, attention, following basic routines and directions, motor skills, imitation, peer interaction, social communication, and social play.
Following an assessment, individualized goals for each child as well as strategies needed to reach those goals will be developed. The Carolina Curriculum for Preschoolers with Special Needs (CCPSN) will be utilized to assess and document progress of each child; additional assessment tools may be used including The Early Start Denver Model Curriculum Checklist (ESDM) and the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP).
Enrollment & Cost
Enrollment options include morning and afternoon sessions. Each session is three hours in length. The morning session is from 8:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., and the afternoon session is from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Children must attend at least 2 half day sessions, with the option of up to 8 sessions per week.
We are now in-network with several insurance companies and if your child has a diagnosis of autism, your insurance company may cover this program under group ABA. We recommend that you reach out to your insurance company to verify this benefit. If you are interested in pursuing insurance billing, please contact our Billing Specialist. If not billing insurance, families are automatically eligible for a scholarship partially funded by the WHAS Crusade for Children, that will reduce your out-of-pocket responsibility to $51.25 per session.
Registration for The Therapeutic Group Program takes place at anytime throughout the year for children not presently in the program. Interested parents should contact the office to schedule a tour. There is a non-refundable fee of $150 per family due at the time of registration required in order to secure enrollment.
